Bridgestone resumes operations at tire plants following heavy storms

Production temporarily suspended at three tire production facilities, tire cord factory
Tokyo – Bridgestone Corp. has resumed operations at four plants in Japan following a suspension of operations at the facilities last week due to heavy storms.
Manufacturing was suspended 10 July at two plants in Fukuoka, at Kurume City and Amagi, Asakura City, and another at Tosu City, Saga, Bridgestone informed ERJ.
Bridgestone produces light vehicle and truck & bus tires in Amagi, passenger car, LV, aircraft and racing tires in Kurume; and PCR and LV tires at Tosu plants.
In addition, production was halted at Bridgestone's tire cord manufacturing plant at Kamimine Town, Saga, the group said in a written statement.
Operations at all four sites resumed on 11 July, Bridgestone added.
