Bridgestone raising hydraulic hose capacity by 30%
Expansion project in Thailand scheduled to come on stream by mid-2025
Tokyo - Bridgestone Corp is to significantly increase its hydraulic hose manufacturing capacity through a project in Rayong, Thailand.
The expansion at its Bridgestone NCR Co. Ltd subsidiary will raise global capacity by 30% from first quarter 2026, the Japanese group said 5 Aug.
First production from the Yen4.9 billion investment project is slated to come on stream by mid-2025.
Bridgestone said the move would “strengthen the profit structure” of its non-tire ‘diversified products’ business.
Rayong-based Bridgestone NCR currently employs 387 people in the manufacture and sale of hydraulic hose, automotive hose and conveyor belts.
Bridgestone hydraulic hose products are widely used in construction, mining and other industrial applications.
