Linglong claims top spot for new energy OE tire sales

Zhaoyuan, China/Hanover, Germany – Linglong Tire was the largest supplier of OE tires for new energy vehicles in 2024, according to consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.

Linglong supplied over nine million OE tires in this segment – including battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids – to carmakers such as Hongqi, BYD, Geely and Dongfeng Nissan, said the tire maker 14 July.

The tires, it noted, feature low rolling resistance, quiet rolling noise and strong grip, and are tailored to the performance needs of different NEV models.

Citing 2024 sales figures, Frost & Sullivan also confirmed that Linglong sold the most passenger car tires in China last year.

Linglong attributed the domestic sales to its Sports Master product line, describing it as “a growth driver”.

“The optimised nationwide sales networks in China, coupled with strategic partnerships such as JD Car Maintenance, enabled the increased sales,” it added.

Linglong said the recognition underscores its role as a “global leader” and a pioneer in building and developing Chinese brands internationally.

“With these two awards, Linglong Tire once again shows that it has long since ceased to be a ‘follower’, but is one of the leading companies in the industry,” it stated.
