Yokohama Rubber to exhibit at Moscow auto show
ERJ staff report (TP)

Tokyo – Yokohama Rubber will be at the Moscow International Automobile Salon 2014, which runs 27 August to 7 September.
Yokohama’s exhibit will feature its tire brand Advan and the winter tire brand iceGUARD.
Because of the demand for winter tires in Russia, the company will unveil its iceGUARD STUD iG55, a new stud tire for passenger cars in Northern Europe and Russia – and the iceGUARD STUDLESS iG50, also for passenger cars.
Advan tires on show will include the Sport V105, and the NEOVA AD08R, a street sport tire.
Exhibition space will feature a racing car and tuning car – and visitors are also offered a hands-on experience of Yokohama’s proprietary Orange Oil compounding technology.
Russia is one of the world’s largest tire markets, and in December 2011, Yokohama Rubber became the first Japanese tire maker to start operating a local passenger car tire plant there.
This autumn the plant will increase its annual production capacity to 1.6 million tires.
Yokohama added that it is also “strengthening both its product-supply capabilities and marketing power in Russia in line with the continued expansion of its local sales network”.
