Malaysian compounder seeks European customers

Malaysian rubber compounder, Goodway Integrated Industries Bhd is planning to enter the European market, following expansions into North America and other regions. The company will continue to build business in those new regions, according to chief executive officer and managing director Tai Boon Wee, quoted in the Malaysian paper, Business Times.

The company currently mixes its material in Malaysia and then exports finished compounds. Currently around 70 percent of production is exported, with Australia the largest export market. Although Goodway has specialised in retread compounds, the company has a growing business in speciality materials, and expects these to provide most of the future growth
