Trelleborg's Forsheda unit expanding compounding

Nottingham, UK-Trelleborg Forsheda Building Systems AB has bought new equipment from Chronos Richardson Batching Systems Group to expands its compound production and pipe seals facility in Forsheda, Sweden.
Nottingham, UK-based Chronos will expand the pneumatic intake system and two mixer feed systems that it originally installed at the Forsheda operation in 1990.
Trelleborg is also ordering additional silo storage and pneumatic conveying equipment so that carbon black can be supplied and unloaded from road tanker. This will enable the mixing division to increase output and run the plant more efficiently, acccording to a Chronos statement.
Chronos is supplying the plant with innovative in-silo‚ pneumatic transmitters, which it says will minimise engineering work and installation time.
The new equipment will be integrated into the existing plant “with minimal disruption to production,†said Chronos.
