French meeting in Rheims to cover polyphase industrial polymers
Paris-A two-day meeting which is being organised by the French rubber training body, the LRCCP, will cover polymer mixtures and alloys. The meeting, the 13th technical seminar of the LRCCP, is to be held in Rheims on 12 & 13 October. It is being organised by LRCCP in partnership with ESIEC, the French packaging association, and Aliapur, France's tyre recycling body.
The meeting is supported by major French rubber processors and suppliers such as Hutchinson, Michelin, Safic-Alcan and Zeon
Polyphase materials such as polymer mixtures and alloys are enriching the range of polymeric materials, in order to better meet the increasing requirements of the industrialists, said LRCCP in an introduction to the seminar, which will cover thermoplastic elastomers and thermoplastic vulcanisates, as well as nanocomposites-all of which belong to this family.
The LRCCP seminar aims to assess various aspects of these polymers:
• How to make polyphase polymers: development, rheology, mechanical behaviour and failure criteria;
• Techniques of formulation for developing new materials intended for automotive, packing and building uses. One example will be material designed using recyclate from used tyres.
LRCCP aims to have presentations by carefully chosen university experts and industrialists as well as offering some insights into results of the latest research in progress and feedback from experienced industrialists.
