Malaysian rubber output down from a year ago

Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia's natural rubber (NR) production in June rose 33.1 percent to 66 566 tonnes from the 50 016 tonnes recorded in May, the country’s Statistics Department said. However, June's output was 22.5 percent lower than in 2012.
Smallholdings accounted for 92.2 percent of the NR produced in June, and estates for the 7.8 percent balance. Stocks ended the month at 130 224 tonnes, rising 5.9 percent from the previous month.
Total exports of NR rubber in June amounted to 62 404 tonnes, down 1.6 percent from May.
