New Porsche Macan fitted with Michelin tires
ERJ staff report (TP)
Stuttgart, Germany − Porsche’s new Macan SUV will be fitted as original equipment with three ranges of Michelin tires.
According to the press release, three ranges of Michelin tires have been certified for the new Macan, including − in its world debut − the new Michelin Latitude Sport 3. The Michelin Latitude Alpin 2 has been certified for winter driving conditions, along with the Michelin Latitude Tour HP, an all-season tire, for some specific regions.
The new Michelin Latitude Sport 3 is the third generation of Latitude on-road SUV tires in the Michelin line-up, originally certified by Porsche in 2002 for the first Cayenne. The design of the new tire conveys an image of power and control and meets user requirements by delivering optimal safety, reducing rolling resistance to improve fuel efficiency and increasing longevity.
Developed for high-performance SUVs, the Michelin Latitude Alpin offers enhanced mobility, control and handling, whatever the winter driving conditions.
Designed specifically for high-performance SUVs, the Michelin Latitude Tour HP ensures safety, good handling and comfort. It is an all-season tire marketed in certain regions, such as the United States.
All three tire ranges reflect the Michelin Total Performance strategy, where innovation and cutting-edge technology are deployed to enhance safety, longevity, fuel savings and driving enjoyment without compromising in any other areas of performance.
