Paper describes self-assembly of styrenic block co-polymers
ERJ staff report (DS)
London -- A paper published on PhysOrg describes the self-assembly characteristics of styrenic block co-polymers.
University of Delaware researcher Thomas Epps says the most impressive trait of a block copolymer is its ability to self-assemble.
One suggestion is to have, instead of an abrubt transition from (for example) styrene to isoprene, it may be possible to implement a tapered transition, with the concentration of one material gradually increasing as a proportion of the other.
