NR supply to fall in Q4 - ANRPC

Kuala Lumpur -- The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) predicts that supply of NR will fall by 3.8 percent in the last three months of 2010, but overall supply will be up by 6.6 percent in the whole 12 months of 2010. The group says supply will increase by a further 4.2 percent in 2011.
Despite the overall increase in supply, the ANRPC notes tat demand is increasingl strongly, with Imports of NR and NR-rich grades of compound rubber in China are likely to surge at 21 percent and 14 percent respective rates in the fourth quarter in annualised terms.
The group said further developments in the geo-political situation will have a significant impact on the future of natural rubber prices.
