NR prices continue to rise

London -- Natural rubber (NR) prices are continuing the upward trend, while IRCo, the International Rubber Consortium says the price has no ceiling.
In its weekly report for last week, IRCo said prices rose last week, leaving its DCP (Daily Composite Price) at $5.58.
In Tokyo, Tocom's benchmark six-month price jumped to a high of yen 480.8, before closing at Yen 478.5 ($5.77 per kilo) during afternoon trading on 24 January.
In Singapore short-dated RSS3 closed at $5.81, after climbing $5.85. Short-dated TSR20 remained constant, closing slightly below $5.53/kg .
Indian prices on the NMCE (National Multi-Commodity Exchange) were stable, though high; climbing through Rs 261, before falling back to close at Rs 257.1 ($5.63)/kg for May delivery.
Chinese prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SFE) remained above Yuan 40 ($6.07)/kg for March, April, May and June deliveries.
