Rubber prices continue to ease - now around $5.60

London -- Natural rubber (NR) prices have again eased significantly overnight.
In Tokyo, Tocom's benchmark six-month price fell to Yen 459.4 ($5.59 per kilo) during afternoon trading on 26 January, but then recovered strongly to close at yen 464.6, down by around 6 points on yesterday.
In Singapore short-dated RSS3 closed at $5.65, down by almost 20 cents. Short-dated TSR20 closed at $5.41/kg .
Indian prices on the NMCE (National Multi-Commodity Exchange) also eased; falling through Rs 260, before closing at Rs 250 ($5.48)/kg for May delivery.
Chinese prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SFE) also eased, falling through Yuan 40 ($6.03)/kg to close around yuan 39.7 for March and April deliveries with longer dated contracts lower.
