Africa Renewables starts grinding up rubber trees in Ghana
ERJ staff report (DS)
London -- Africa Renewables Ltd ("AfriRen"), the London-headquartered renewable energy trading company, has announced it is actively recruiting for 70+ new forestry and biomass production jobs. The local jobs are part of Ghana's first ever sustainable woodchip biomass extraction and exportation venture and include a number of engineering and senior management positions.
The company is cutting down post-productive rubber trees, and converting the wood into woodchips. In addition the comapny is re-planting the plantation with new saplings.
The project is based on a 15,000-hectare plantation operated by GREL (Ghana Rubber Estates Ltd) in Ghana.
