Zeon expands Düsseldorf management team, goes for plastics

Düsseldorf, Germany - Zeon Europe is aiming to branch out into plastics as well as speciality elastomers. In a statement, the company said, "A major objective for the future is the significant expansion of the Speciality Plastics Business besides the Elastomers Business."

Since 1 April, Haruhiko Takahashi has been managing director of Zeon Europe. On the same date, Hubert Thimm, Commercial Director, took on responsibility for European sales of the Elastomer and C5 Chemicals Businesses. Thimm joined Zeon Europe in 2010 and until then has been sales manager German area.

Dr. Walter Heider, previously in charge of the elastomers side is now Director of Speciality Material Business, and is responsible for this business unit with its strong growth potential. Heider has been active with Zeon Europe since 1991.
