Triangle to host China's national tyre engineering lab

Shenzhen, China - China's national tyre engineering laboratory is to be located at tyre manufacturer Triangle.
Triangle was given official approval from the National Development and Reform Committee at the 13th China International High and New Technology Achievement trade fair held in Shenzhen on 16 Nov, Triangle said in a 20 Nov news release.
The national tyre engineering laboratory is “the most valuable technology innovation platform†in the Chinese tyre industry, Triangle said. In 2008, Triangle was awarded the national first prize for progress in science and technology achievement in its giant OTR tyre programme.
The tyre engineering laboratory will focus on the research and development of the design, compound, manufacturing and engineering of various tyres by taking full advantage of Triangle's current equipments and research conditions.
Once completed, the national tyre engineering laboratory will enhance the independent innovation capability of Chinese tyre industry, strengthen the core competitiveness of the industry, and play a leading role in technology progress and industry upgrading, Triangle said.
The company did not give any further details about the location, size or cost of the laboratory.
