EChA names more chemicals for potential registration

Helsink - EChA, the European Chemicals Agency charged with implementing REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of CHemicals) legislation is adding more substances from the Candidate List for inclusion in the Authorisation List (Annex XIV of REACH). Based on an assessment of the available information, ECHA currently plans to recommend the following substances:
- formaldehyde, oligomeric reaction products with aniline (technical MDA)
- arsenic acid
- dichromium tris(chromate)
- strontium chromate
- potassium hydroxyoctaoxodizincatedichromate
- pentazinc chromate octahydroxide
- bis(2-methoxyethyl) ether (diglyme)
- N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAC)
- 1,2-dichloroethane (EDC)
- 2,2'-dichloro-4,4'-methylenedianiline (MOCA)
