Nokian Tyres' Finnish plant agrees redundancies and layoffs

Nokia, Finland - Statutory negotiations for permanent and temporary layoffs have been agreed at Nokian Tyres' Finnish factory.
Car tire production will be cut by not more than 42 production days in 2013, says the company; heavy tire production will also be cut. Reductions will be achieved mainly through temporary layoffs, but 28 production and office jobs will be lost permanently.
The factory has approximately 600 employees in car tires and 260 people in Nokian's heavy tires operation.
