Wuxi, Jiangsu – Parker Hannifin Engineered Material (Wuxi) plans to expand rubber seals capacity by 3 billion unit per year at the parent group’s existing site in Wuxi, Jiangsu.
The project’s second environmental impact review started in January, according to an announcement on local government website.
Located in the city’s Xishan Economic and Technological Development Zone, the project has €9 million earmarked with 22,000-square-metre total floor area rented from another Parker Hannifin subsidiary.
The project’s capacity includes over 500 million unit per year automotive-related speciality rubber parts and O-rings, and 2.5 billion unit per year medical rubber seals.
The new facilities are slated to finish installation in June 2020 and start trial runs in July, said the project’s environmental impact report.
It is expected to have 400 employees and generate €8 million (60 million yuan) annual profit on €79 million annual sales, said the report.
