Report: Lonstroff to start Slovenia medical plant in October

Logatec, Slovenia - Lonstroff AG, part of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, is set to launch production at its new site in Logatec in October, according to press reports.
In a 9 Jan news report, Slovenska Tiskovna Agencija (STA) said the Slovenian economy minister and officials from SRI visited the site, which is progressing on schedule.
Test production is scheduled for April, STA added.
Lonstroff, based in Merenschwand, Switzerland, produces and sells rubber parts for pharmaceutical primary packaging and rubber parts for medical applications.
According to SRI, the new plant will triple the company’s production capacity of primary packaging and rubber parts for medical applications in Europe.
