Sumitomo Rubber names new CEO in management reshuffle

Tokyo – Sumitomo Rubber Industries has launched a management reshuffle which will see the appointment of a new chief executive director in March.

The company’s board of directors met on 27 Dec, when they elected and appointed a company director Satoru Yamamoto as the next CEO.

Yamamoto’s appointment will need to be approved during the next SRI annual general meeting, set for 26 March.

Also, as part of the restructuring, current CEO Ikuji Ikeda, will assume the position of chairman of the board of directors after the shareholders’ meeting in March.
