TRM develops 'automated' retreading production cell for US market

Trento, Italy – Tyre Retreading Machinery (TRM), part of Marangoni Meccanica SpA, has supplied what it describes as 'the first automated production cell' for retreading materials.

The production cell has been commissioned and ready to be moved to the US market, according to a 13 Dec announcement from TRM.

The unit employs a robotic arm from Fanuc to handle retreading material through the production process –  removing the need for operator-intervention throughout the process.

According to TRM, the cell is “the first step” towards a complete revision of the retread-material production process.

TRM specialises in the design and manufacturing of machinery and production lines for the retreading of passenger, truck, OTR and aircraft tires.
