Yulin, Guangxi – China’s non-pneumatic tire maker KingTitan Technology broke ground on its 2.5 million unit/year facilities in Yulin, Guangxi in November.
The company will invest €51 million (400 million yuan) to build a 21,600 sqm plant with five lines slated to come on stream by August 2019, according to Yulin municipal government’s website.
The facilities will manufacture passenger car tires, two wheeler tires and speciality tires. This is phase one of the plant and will generate €48 million annual production value when in operation.
Phase two has €140 million investment earmarked for it and includes tire manufacturing facilities as well as a research center and testing ground, said Yulin government website.
Headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, KingTitan is also planning new facilities in nearby Qinzhou with €25 million investment.
The project, currently in the environmental impact assessment process, is slated to come on full stream in late 2021 with 30ktpa airless tire capacity for bicycles, motorcycles, police vehicle and other specialty vehicles.
