Seals specialist Kaco consolidating German operations

Kirchardt, Germany – Automotive sealing specialist Kaco GmbH is consolidating its operations in Germany by combining production sites at its Kirchardt headquarters.

The relocation process started in 2017 and involves merging three production sites in Heilbronn, Talheim and Kirchardt in the now-expanded manufacturing facilities and new offices in Kirchardt by early 2019.

Kaco’s Heilbronn manufacturing equipment were successfully moved to Kirchardt by mid-2018, and the Talheim plant is also “almost fully transferred” to the new location, the company said in a statement in September.

The move aims to integrate into a “single-site”, the production and the HQ of Kaco, which is majority-owned by China’s Zhongding Sealing Parts Co. Ltd.

“We are very pleased that the move has gone so smoothly. Now our employees can enjoy the benefits of a modern workplace,” said managing directors Markus Schwerdtfeger and Richard Ongherth.

Kaco develops and manufactures high precision, practical sealing systems for the automotive and mechanical engineering sectors.

The company, with its headquarters in Germany, has eight production facilities in Germany, Austria, Hungary, China and the US.
