Kuala Lumpur - Kraiburg TPE is set to start up a new 5-kilotonne-per-annum (ktpa) production line at its production plant in Malaysia this month, the German compounder announced 4 Dec.
The new line will increase thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) production capacity by 35% in Malaysia, bringing total production capacity of the company to 60ktpa globally.
Kraiburg TPE is also expanding its offices and warehouse in Malaysia in tandem with the new production line.
The company said that it would also be extending its sales network in Hanoi, Vietnam, to increase its brand presence and enhance its customer service in the region.
Kraiburg TPE has three production sites in Waldkraiburg, Germany, Atlanta, Georgia, the US and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In Waldkraiburg, Germany, an expansion project is already underway by adding an extrusion line, which should be ready by the first quarter of next year. The new 10ktpa line will raise the company's European compounding capacity to 40 kilotonnes.
“Continuously investing in the international network of our production plants and sales offices is a mainstay of our strategy,” said Franz Hinterecker, CEO of Kraiburg TPE.
