Finixx to build self-sealing tire project in China
Located at the city’s Jinhe Industrial Park, the project has €126 million (1 billion yuan) investment earmarked with 667,000 sqm total area, according to reporting by local broadcaster Baoji Radio.
A Chinese sales centre will also be built at the site, the reports from this month also indicated.
A maker of bullet-proof military tires as well, Finixx originated in Thailand and spent eight years in research before launching its first self-sealing tire in 2008.
The company uses elastic memory rubber in its liners and claims to have cutting-edge crosslinking technology.
Finixx exports to 40 countries and regions and started selling to the U.S. and E.U. in 2011, according to China’s national broadcaster CCTV.
The company already has a 5 million unit/year site in Huzhou, Zhejiang opened in 2017 with €76 million investment.
The Huzhou site is expected to raise its capacity to 20 million units/year within three years.
