Linglong completes technology supply to Uzbek tire plant

Tashkent – Linglong Tire has completed its supply of technology to a greenfield tire production plant in Angren, Uzbekistan, the Chinese tire maker announced 30 July.
Linglong said construction phase of the project is now complete and that in the next phase it would be working on product-debugging of 16 tire specifications “as per contract”.
The unit has the capacity to manufacture 3 million passenger car tires, 200,000 agricultural bias tires as well as 100,000 metres of conveyor belts.
China’s Poly Technologies and Uzbekistan National Chemical signed the agreement to build the tire and rubber products plant in the country in 2015.
The €162-million project, driven by both Chinese and Uzbek governments, was awarded on a turnkey basis by Poly Technologies and ChemChina’s Beijing Research & Design Institute of Rubber Industry.
The project broke ground in Angren Special Industrial Zone in August 2015.
