VMI takes batch-offs to a higher level

Epe, The Netherlands – VMI has recently added a vertical pallet transporter with high handling capacity to its product portfolio for large batch-offs, mainly for the tire industry.

In tire industry mixing rooms, explains a VMI release, masterbatch rubber compounds often need to be transported to higher-level mixers.

Conventionally, it said, pallet-transfer systems with hugger belts and a second stacking unit on the mixer floor or freight elevators, have proved too complicated and cumbersome.

VMI is, therefore, now offering a pallet transporter and linked conveyor system designed to transport a 2,000kg pallet to the mixer level in less than a minute.

“This means that this transporter can ‘simultaneously’ process pallets from multiple mixing lines,” according to the company statement.
