Luxembourg — Orion Engineered Carbons will raise prices for all carbon black grades sold in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, beginning 1 Aug.
Prices will be adjusted between $82 (€69.5) and $107 per tonne, in line with existing contracts and agreements, according to the firm.
Orion said the price increases are needed to offset operating expenses which continue to rise because of high utilisation rates and the desire to continuously invest in its manufacturing network.
Orion raised prices for its rubber carbon black materials in North America 1 June.
As part of this, invoice prices for rubber carbon blacks in North America have been adjusted by an average of $121 per tonne, contracts permitting.
