Yiyang trials new tandem mixers for non-tire products

Yiyang, China – Yiyang Rubber and Plastic Machinery Group started trial run of its new tandem mixer group for non-tire rubber products in late April. Installation was finished in March.

The group consists of two internal mixers, model GK90E and GE180T. The former, an earlier model, is used for masterbatch mixing; the latter is specially developed for finish mixing in this tandem arrangement.

The machinery is designed for China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation’s sealant production line in Guiyang, Guizhou province, but could also be used in auto parts, cable, belts and tubes, said Yiyang’s website.

Yiyang Machinery, a ChemChina affiliate, was China’s seventh largest machinery maker last year with €60 million annual revenue. This will be the first time the company’s continuous mixing technology is used in the non-tire segments.

Yiyang Machinery “will promote this solution across such segments and aim to transform itself from a single machine seller to a package solution provider,’ said the website.
