400,000 km life vindicates Karzol-Trans' choice of Goodyear truck tires

Monor, Hungary - Goodyear Marathon tires are keeping costs low for the Hungarian haulier Karzol-Trans International Transportation Ltd.
The company's fleet now runs an average of 400,000 km between tire changes with a fuel consumption of 25 litres per 100 kilometres.
Karzol-Trans provides domestic and international transport of frozen and fragile payloads. Its fleet comprises 40 Renault Premium tractor units and 47 trailers. The trucks, which are between two and three years old, have Euro 5-rated engines and are equipped with the latest global positioning and safety systems. The trailers are of refrigerated, box or cargo configuration.
The trucks are equipped with a mix of Goodyear Marathon LHSII steer tires, LHDII drive tires and LHTII trailer tires. Retreads are commonly used on the trailers.
