DRAFT Trelleborg completes acquisition of US composite manufacturer

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions unit has acquired Automated Dynamics, an advanced composite components manufacturer.
Trelleborg said in a news release that the bolt-on deal provides new, strategic technology to develop next generation composites for the marine, hydro and aerospace global industries. The deal closed on 1 Dec.
"Automated Dynamics' engineering know-how and cutting-edge technology is a strategically important addition to Trelleborg," Kristian Brok, president of global operations elastomers at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, said in a statement.
"The expanded scope of capabilities and technology will be leveraged within our global market presence."
The Niskayna, New York-based company had sales of SEK65 million (€6.6 million) in 2016 and is specialised in the design and manufacture of composite structures and automated equipment.
The company is active in aerospace, defence, oil & gas and automotive industries.
The Swedish company also expects to leverage Automated Dynamics’ expertise in production automation into its other manufacturing facilities.
