Machine maker Uth expands German site
The German machinery maker specialises in large machines for the gear-pump sector and fine mesh straining equipment for the rubber, tire and silicone industry.
The recently inaugurated unit, which takes the total area of the Fulda facility to around 10.000 sqm, was designed to the latest standards for simultaneous and flexible manufacture, said Uth.
“Now machinery weighing up to 25 tonnes can be moved,” it said. “High product quality, ergonomics, sustainability and energy efficiency also play an important role.
New developments had placed increased demands on operational resources, Uth explained in a 13 Nov statement about the expansion.
“For example, our newly developed TRP (two-roll plasticiser) technology, weighted at 40 tonnes, is designed for the preparation of rubber compounds and had brought us to our capacity limits.” said managing director Peter Uth.
The MD went on to emphasise that the company is committed to production in Germany, even though 80% of its output is exported and it has established branches in China and India.
“We want to continue producing and distributing quality machines worldwide which are made in Germany and meet the highest standards,” said Uth.
“We continuously focus on the R&D of our innovative products in order to further expand our position on the global market,” he added.
