Hankook's third Chinese site starts production

Shanghai - Hankook Tire's plant in the southwest China municipality of Chongqing - its third in the country - has begun production.
The plant is expected to reach its initial production capacity of 2,400 tires per day by mid 2013, the Korean tire maker said in a statement to Automotive News China. By the end of 2015, annual output is scheduled to grow to 10 million car tires and 1.6 million tires for trucks and buses.
