Michelin tires and ATS Euromaster support for VW's UK leasing operation

Birmingham, UK – Volkswagen Group Leasing (VGL) – the fleet and corporate hire arm of Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) – has appointed ATS Euromaster to fit and service tires across its fleet.

VGL managers have chosen Michelin as the company’s preferred brand in a separate competitive tender exercise.

Both two-year contracts commenced on 1 April 2013 and cover VGL’s fleet of more than 40 000 cars and vans, which are supplied to customers on a mixture of contract hire and fixed-cost maintenance agreements. The fleet also includes cars supplied to Volkswagen Financial Services’ employees.

ATS Euromaster offers VGL customers access to a network of more than 350 service centres nationwide. The company also operates approximately 900 service vans, which can be pre-booked to fit tires at a customer’s home or place of work.

In another collaboration between Volkswagen and Michelin, the VW Polo R World Rally Championship cars also run on Michelin rubber. They have already celebrated their first wins of the season, in Sweden and Mexico.
