Prisma Colour sees demand spike in Europe
Glossop, UK – Prisma Colour, a UK-based supplier of colouring solutions to the rubber and silicone industries, has reported a “spike” in European orders in the first half of 2015.
In a statement published on 9 June, the company said it expected a “significant growth”, but did not disclose figures of sales or income.
Prisma expects to continue with its current “double-digit” growth rate for a foreseeable future, adding that its growth has been in the double-digit range for the past six years.
Following strong performances in Poland, Scandinavia and Germany, Prisma said it is now focused on consolidating its presence in the Italian market,.
“The Prismagum range of rubber colouring products performed strongly at the [Milan Plast] show, as did Prisma Colour’s silicone-colouring range, Prismasil,” said managing director Tim Johnson.
The company said it had secured “significant” new orders from manufacturing customers in Italy, adding that its distributor in the country is Eigenmann & Veronelli.
“The improving Italian manufacturing sector means that manufacturers are requiring advanced colouring solutions, in order to give them a competitive edge.
“Prisma Colour is benefiting from the growing Italian market, just as we are with our other markets across Europe,” added Johnson.
The Glossop, Derbyshire-based group has a capacity of over 15000 tonnes per annum across its flexible manufacturing base.
