Michelin signs fleet management with UK major bus firm

London - One of UK’s main bus operators, First Bushas renewed its fleet management contract – Effitires – with Michelin Solutions, announced the French company on 12 May.

Under the contract, Michelin will fit premium Michelin tires on a price-per-kilometre (PPK) basis across 65 percent of First Bus’ fleet.

The new two-year contract will cover the supply, fitting and servicing Michelin tires on more than 4,000 buses operating from garages nationwide.

Michelin Solutions is currently managing tires on some 500,000 vehicles globally.

First Bus renewed the two-year contract with Michelin solutions following eight years of service from the company.
