Houston – The US petrochemical industry will add 600 million barrels per day of demand by 2020, which is likely to bring consumption of ethane up to about 1.5 million bpd.
This, according to the data supplier Infocast, is ”really good news for ethane exports and will drive this market forward in the next couple of years, adding to a number of recent deals by overseas petrochemical companies.”
The upbeat forecast is included in an Infocast press release to flag up its Natgas Feedstocks to New End Markets summit, taking place in Houston on 26 Feb
The event is billed as an opportunity to evaluate the rapidly-developing markets of ethane and propane feedstocks around the world.
