Mery, France — Axson Group SAS, provider of high performance polymer formulations, has announced that it will open a technical centre in Mery, in order to expand the company’s expertise in polyurethane elastomer formulations.
According to the company, the new Axson Merylithe technical centre will focus on both isocyanate formulation and systems.
Axson acquired Merylithe SAS, a subsidiary of Trentesaux-Brochier, last August. The renamed subsidiary, Axson Merylithe, is headquartered in Mery.
Neither the cost of the project, nor the timeline for completion, were released.
Axson, with 1,000 employees worldwide, serves the industrial transport, energy, water, sports and leisure, construction and infrastructure markets. It has includes three business units — Axson Technologies, Axson Coatings and Asxon Revocoat — with 25 subsidiaries and 16 production and R&D sites.
