Singapore – Synthetic rubber supplier Arlanxeo has named Joosang Kim to take over as managing director of Arlanxeo Singapore Pte, effective 1 Feb.
Kim is taking over the role from from Georges Barbey, who will leave the company to seek new career opportunities, the company said 31 Jan.
"As the world's largest consumer of synthetic rubber, the Asian market will continue to be an important engine for Arlanxeo’s global success," said Jorge Nogueira, Arlanxeo CEO.
According to Nogueira, Kim has a “deep insight” into the industry and the Asian market, which will lead the company in the rapidly evolving market.
Kim was born in South Korea and joined Lanxess, co-owner of Arlanxeo, in 2007 where he has held a number of leadership positions within the synthetic rubber business.
Arlanxeo has a butyl rubber plant and Nd-BR plant in Singapore's Jurong Island, serving as a regional hub for the southeast Asian region.
