Hannover, Germany — Continental AG is expanding its radial OTR lineup with additional sizes of its EM-Master E4/L4 lines for construction/mining and wheel loader/dump truck applications.

The new sizes — 23.5R25 and 26.5R25 — round out the EM-Master construction and mining tire portfolio, Conti said, and complement the existing 29.5R25 size available in that segment.

The EM-Master is part of the ContiEarth portfolio, which was developed specifically for the construction sector, Conti said, in particular for articulated dump trucks (ADT), loaders and dozers.

The EM-Master is available in two versions an E3/L3 with a normal tread depth and wide spacing between the blocks for use on soft ground and the E4/L4 for hard and stony ground thanks to a greater block size with less spacing between the blocks and a deeper tread depth.

At the same time, Conti is "collaborating intensively with our customers to further expand our portfolio to meet their needs and requirements," according to Christian Luther, product line manager earthmoving at Continental Commercial Specialty Tires (CST).

Conti re-entered the OTR tire sector in late 2015 after a nearly 10-year hiatus.

Conti's EM-Master range includes two other specialty lines — RDT-Master for rigid dump trucks and DumperMaster for mining or construction environment.
