Waukegan, Illinois – Polymax Thermoplastic Elastomers US manufacturer and custom compounder of thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), is expanding its production facilities in Waukegan.
The expansion includes a new compounding line to add capacity for its TPEs, including SEBS, SBS, TPO, and alloy productsm, the company said 16 Jan.
The project, which will be completed in the first quarter of 2018, will add 8 million pounds PLEASE CONVERT (4,000 tonnes) to production capacity.
Polymax said it has enjoyed strong growth for its TPE materials in the US since starting its operation in the country in 2013.
“This investment reaffirms our continued commitment to the engineering TPE plastics market in the US,” said Tom Castile, vice president of sales for Polymax TPE.
Polymax TPE is a US-based sister company of Nantong Polymax Elastomer Technology Co., Ltd, based in Nantong, China.
Both companies were co-founded by Martin Lu Nantong.
