Yiyang, China – Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery has signed its first overseas rubber mixing project, according to parent company ChemChina.

According to a 10 Oct announcement, Iranian tire manufacturer Kavir Tire had placed an order for a rubber mixing turnkey project, marking Yiyang's first international project for an entire rubber-mixing-line project.

Kavir’s all-steel radial tire project includes upper associated machine, GE320 mixer, XK-710 mixing mill, XK-660 mixing mill, rubber piece cooler and conveyor equipment.

The order came on the back of another Yiyang export to Iran earlier in September when it supplied GK400N and GN255 internal mixers to Iranian tire maker Artawheel.

Kavir, established in 1998, is headquartered in Birjand, east of Iran and near the border with Afghanistan.

With total production area of 1,120,000 square metres and annual output of 28,000 tonnes, Kavir mainly produces bias tires.

The company is now in the process of introducing truck and bus radial tire technology. It plans to expand production to 40,000 tonnes in the first phase and 70,000 tonnes in the future.
