Bandag retreader unveils upgrade in Scotland
Paisley , UK – One of Bandag’s largest franchise partners Caledonian Tyres has officially opened a £250,000 (€280,000) refurbishment at its Greenhill Road depot in Scotland.
The upgrade has positioned Paisley-based Caledonian among “the most advanced retread tire centres in the country,” according to a statement from Bridgestone-owned Bandag.
The project, it added, has enhanced factory and office facilities at Caledonian, which receives Bridgestone “premium” casings for cold-cure products manufactured on-site.
“It was vitally important to us to boast a headquarters that matched the quality of the tyres themselves,” said Caledonian Tyres’ owner Robert Keay. “We feel that this £250,000 investment is a fitting commentary on the state of the market too.”
“Scotland represents a good growth opportunity for the retread business, added Bandag franchise manager Graham Hooper: “It is a large territory and home to some of the UK’s most prestigious fleets.”
