Waldkraiburg, Germany – Gummiwerk Kraiburg Elastik GmbH & Co. KG has recently expanded capacity for the production of rubber mats with the addition of a new production hall at its Tittmoning site.
The €10-million expansion project features the addition of a new press able to produce up to 700,000 m²/year of rubber mat. This lifted annual capacity at the Bavarian site to 2.5 million m² of the animal-welfare product.
The expansion has created 16 new jobs, with more tom follow, said a Kraiburg press statement.
The press has seven stacks, that means that seven different types of matting can be produced at the same time. Downstream operations include water-jet cutting of pressed mats to the final size, often to individual customer requirements.
According to Kraiburg, the new unit is equipped with advanced low-noise and ventilation technologies together with modern waste-air purification and heat recovery systems.
