Stockholm – Scandinavian Enviro Systems (Enviro) has extended its memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Chinese tire maker Guangzhou Vanlead Group Co. Ltd, and Chilean investor Genera4 SA, the Swedish company has announced
The MoU with Vanlead, originally signed on 29 March, has been extended to meet the state-owned company’s procurement process, according to Enviro’s 9 Aug press statement.
“This means that the work with establishing recycling plants in both countries continues,” said Thomas Sörensson, chief executive officer of Enviro.
“Our joint ambition to establish a plant in Guangzhou with project launch in 2017 remains,” the CEO emphasised. “Together we have decided on the location of the plant and conducted detailed discussions on site.”
IN Chile, meanwhile, an MoU signed last November with Genera4 has been extended by three months with the possibility for further extensions.
According to Enviro, its recycled carbon black has been tested by several Chilean rubber manufacturers as well as international tire manufacturers.
“Chile’s new Recycling and Extended Producer Liability Law means that the need for our type of solution is increasing for both tyre producers, mining companies and the authorities,” said Sörensson
The MoU extension with Genera4 is “an expected part of our continued cooperation to establish a recycling plant in the country,” he added.
