Zhaoyuan City, China – The gap between Chinese independent tire brands and overseas premium brands is “continuing to narrow,” claims Linglong – pointing to the results of recent summer-tire testing by Finnish Test World.
In the tests carried out in France, the Linglong Green-Max HP 010 (205/55R16 91V) won a total score of 8.3 points, ranking it first among five Chinese brands involved in the testing of 17 tire brands and products.
In its assessment, Test World said the tire had a “surprisingly good result” with “excellent grip on wet surfaces, especially in a rather cold condition…. Its noise is low and its rolling resistance is the average level.”
According to Linglong, the braking distance of its tire on wet surfaces tested just 1.5 metres behind first-placed Michelin, and shorter than that of Goodyear, Pirelli and Maxxis.
‘Manoeuver-ability’ on wet surfaces was better than some major brands including Bridgestone and Yokohama, added a 25 May statement from the Shandong tire maker.
