Versalis exec to lead IISRP
Taipei, Taiwan - Enrico Lucchese, marketing manager for tire, styrenics modification, & latex within the elastomers business unit at Versalis (Eni), has been elected president international of the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) for 2017-2018.
Lucchese will succeed Hendrick Lam, who now becomes the institute’s past-president international. The election took place during the association’s 58th annual meeting on 27 April.
Lucchese has a comprehensive background in the elastomers business including in technical, commercial and management aspects.
According to IISRP, Lucchese played “a strategic role" in Versalis’ internationalisation process, both in licensing Versalis’ technologies and in setting up of new joint venture initiatives.
Lucchese is also vice chairman of the board of directors of the European, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) section of the IISRP, vice chairman of the EMEA statistical committee of the IISRP and a member of the industrial panel of Associates of the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) since 2010.
Lucchese will also serve as president of the institute’s EMEA region. Other members elected to the Institute Executive Committee for the year 2017-2018 are:

The IISRP is an international not-for-profit association with 60 corporate members from 22 countries which produce 80% of the world’s supply of synthetic rubber. Incorporated in 1960 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, the institute supports regional offices in Milan, Tokyo and Beijing.
