Elastikote acquired by Iko Group companies

Seville, Ohio – IKO Group firms Blair Rubber and Hyload have acquired fellow Ohio-based business Elastikote. The two businesses, although not direct competitors, operate in related areas of the roofing and waterproofing industries.

Elastikote designs and supplies solvent-based roofing, and below-grade waterproofing systems, which are compatible with spray polyurethane foams.

Blair Rubber supplies rubberised tank linings, and Hyload manufactures thermoplastic membranes for the roofing industry, plus related waterproofing and membrane products.

“We are tremendously excited about the acquisition of the well-respected Elastikote brand,” said David Jentzsch, general manager for Blair & Hyload.  “Elastikote’s products and knowledge base will allow us to expand our product offerings, providing an even greater range of options to our customers.”

The Elastikote operations and workforce will be retained, and relocated to Blair Rubber’s Seville manufacturing plant.
