Magog, Quebec – Industrial tire and track producer Camso Ltd. plans to raise prices on its range of its materials-handling and construction products by an average of 8%, effective 1 April.
The firm, formerly Camoplast Solideal, cited rising raw materials prices as its reason for having to raise prices.
"Faced with this reality, we're compelled to reflect this in the pricing of our products," said Derek Bradeen, Camso's global director of brand and communications.
Magog-based Camso said it remains committed to delivering products that meet the mobility needs of the compact-construction and materials-handling industries.
Camso is the 21st tire maker and/or importer to raise prices or announce price increases since early January. Alliance Tire America Inc.; Continental Tire the Americas; Giti Tire (USA) Ltd.; Maxam Tire North America Inc.; Pirelli Tire North America/TP Commercial Solutions LLC; Titan International Inc.; and Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas are among the most recent to make price hike announcements.
